TOP TEEN MOVIES OF ALL TIME
Written By: Clarkey
Any movie that has four teenage guys a plotting numerous of schemes to get Kiss tickets is a great movie in my mind.
The movie is not the best, but it is references almost every movie on this list and that earns the right to be on the list.
This film was the coming out party for couple Ryan Philippe and Reese Witherspoon. Also, it has the hottest bitch to ever grace the big screen in Sarah Michelle Gellar.
A great family film that will teach you the skills to kick the Cobras asses, even on one leg. Atta boy Daniel-son.
Do you ever wonder what your parents like were when they were teenagers? Well Marty McFly finds out when he goes back into the fifties.
Now I have not seen this movie in its entirety, but from what I’ve seen, it looks like one fun time. Especially the shower scene.
I found this movie a tad overrated. It’s still a hell of a movie, but it’s definitely not the best work from John Hughes.
One of my favourite novels is well adapted by Francis Ford Coppola and has one of the most badass casts ever with the likes of the Karate Kid, Maverick, James Dalton from Road House, the Flamingo Kid and Coach Bombay. Need I say more? I think not.
One of the best portrayals of teenage life in the fifties.
Why did you have to die so early James Dean? Hands down, his best work.
The film launched Cruise’s promising career until recently when he simply went haywire.
The most recent film on the list is a great film with a hot lead actress, a great love story and some great comedic scenes. You can’t help but to have a smile on your face throughout.
The most serious film on the list. The film looks at a different style of teenage life: the life of African-American teenagers living in South Central Los Angeles. Powerful stuff from start to finish.
A lovely dark comedy and Wionna Ryder’s best movie. I’m not going to lie there were a few times when I laughed when I shouldn’t have in this movie.
Lose your virginity before you graduate. That is the pact that four pals make with each other in this hilarious comedy. You will never look at pie the same way after this film.
John Cusack is the king of the 80s teen films and this film is no exception. After he is dumped by his girlfriend, he unsuccessfully tries to kill himself in hilarious fashions.
Two nerds decide to create the perfect women with the help of a powerful computer, a bolt of lightning and bras on their heads. What follows are a hilarious mishaps and adventures as Wyatt’s parents leave them alone with his older and psychotic brother, Chet and the newly created model, Lisa.
One of the most underrated movies of all time. The one thing that all teenagers have in common is the desire to get their license and therefore their freedom from their parents. Les Anderson gives his friends and the lovely Mercedes the impression that he has his license when in fact he failed the written test.
John Cusack is at it again in this beautiful teenage love story between an outcaster and the school’s valedictorian. The scene that has Cusack’s character standing outside her window with a stereo playing “In your eyes,” by Peter Gabriel is right up there for most memorable in a movie.
The best stoner movie ever created. One of the funniest movies on the list. Richard Linklater is a very underrated filmmaker. The film also has one of the best lines ever said on big screen, “that’s what I love about these high school girls. I get older, they stay the same age.”
This movie surprised the living hell out of me. I didn’t think this movie would be any good, but it was a fun movie with a hell of a love triangle with a very smoking hot Mrs. McFly.
I don’t care what you say this movie is a classic teen movie that should not be missed by any movie watcher. This movie will surprise people who think that they won’t like it.
Cameron Crowe captures the spirit, the lifestyle and the romances of teenagers like no one else (with the exception of John Hughes) when he went undercovered as a high school student and it shows in this film. The movie also stars some of the biggest celebs and is one of the best comedies ever made.
John Hughes makes detention interesting with cliché, but yet complex, characters. There's a jock, a princess, a misfit, a nerd, and a lout, however, they share the similar feelings, fears and dreams. You may find certain aspects entertaining, but when all is said and done, the film is simply well made.
The King of the teen movies, John Hughes, has done it again. Every teenager has skipped a class or has thought of skipping or faking sick like the masterful Ferris Bueller. However, not every kid who skips goes downtown Chicago for the day, driving a friend’s dad’s Ferrari and has the Dean of Discipline trying to catch you and keep you in high school for another year. You cannot say enough good things about this movie.
