:: PART ONE - THE INTRODUCTION ::

If I were to be locked up in a room for the rest of my life with a small broken down television as my only companion and I were given the choice of either having a lifetime subscription to the Playboy Channel or the complete series of The Wonder Years on a constant loop, I would most defiantly choose the latter. Sure, it would have been easy to have chosen the Playboy Channel and dive right into the endless amounts of big breasted buxom blondes which would then eventually lead to an eternity of non-stop masturbation, but the thing is I would soon grow tiresome and I would also risk losing the sensations within my private parts. And so that leaves The Wonder Years, the thing about this show (to me) is that it just never gets old. It has to be one of the greatest television shows ever to be conceived. It’s the one show that I have watched and wished that my life was like the main characters. Kevin Arnold just seemed a whole lot more interesting. Everything that happened to him is so difficult, yet so trivially difficult. I was able to witness the rites of passage through adolescence glorified and celebrated through adoring nostalgia. It was like lines of poetry overflowing within cesspool of imagination. The show was magical. It established the life and times of "the average guy". Kevin Arnold wasn't the popular kid, the smart kid, the jock, the nerd, and those other high school stereotypes he was simply the average guy. And that was something that I could absorb, cherish, and relate to. He was sort of like me.
